Carole has worked in the Medical, Chiropractic, or lab field for thirty years. She has three grown children and four grandchildren. Carole loves to travel now that her children are grown. She lives with her longtime companion Dennis and dog Jada. Besides travel and visiting the grand kids, camping and home improvements are her favorite activities. Carole LOVES, LOVES working at Heritage Family Medicine.
Ellie (Medical Assistant)
Ellie graduated from College America’s Medical Specialties program and is now a compassionate and dedicated Medical Assistant at Heritage Family Medicine. She has a passion for elderly patients and loves working with people. Ellie enjoys working in all aspects of the medical field. She is excited to work at Heritage Family Medicine and can’t wait to get to know all of our patients and their families! Outside of work she enjoys spending all of her time with her family. She is a proud mother of 2 and they especially enjoy the beautiful Colorado outdoors and regularly go hiking, fishing, camping and any other activity they can think of!
Sandy (Medical Assistant)
Sandy has been a medical assistant for several years. Her kind and compassionate heart has led her to dedicate her time and career to providing the utmost genuine care to all the patients she has the privilege of working with. Outside of work, Sandy is a dedicated mother, wife, and friend.
Allie (Medical Assistant)
Allie completed her externship with us while she was completing her degree in medical studies, and that experience led to her joining our team full time. Allie plans to continue her education with a focus on becoming a paramedic, with the ultimate goal of becoming a Flight for Life nurse. When not at work Allie loves spending time with her daughter, five horses, and two dogs. Allie also enjoys participating in rodeos, hunting, fishing, and camping.
Lydia (Registered Nurse)
Lydia grew up in American Fork, Utah, but loves living in Fort Collins. She has been a registered nurse since 2014, and brings a wealth of experience to our team. She absolutely loves working with patients and learning about each of them each day. When she’s not at work, she enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband.
Tracy (Billing Specialist)
Tracy has worked in billing for more than 20 years. She worked for local newspapers and chiropractic offices before coming to Heritage Family Medicine. She lives in Erie with her husband and two children, and they love to go camping.
Ginger has worked in the medical field for over 25 years. She moved to Fort Collins from Mississippi to be with her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. She loves spending time with family and going for walks with her dogs.
Jessica is a long-time resident of Fort Collins. She is a graduate of Colorado State University with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies. She enjoys spending all her time with her family and two dogs. She is also an avid reader and passionate gardener.
Scott (Operations Manager)
Operations Manager Scott Talbot served his country and community as a United States Marine. During his time of service, he also loved giving his time as a volunteer firefighter and EMT in North Carolina. He has worked as an operations supervisor and manager for 15 years and enjoys working on a team that has a positive impact in people’s lives. Outside of work he also enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters camping and being outdoors.
Aaron received his Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1998. He flew for the airlines for 10 years and continues to fly helicopters for the Colorado Army National Guard. He opened Heritage Family Medicine with Dr. Orozco-Peterson in 2002. His focus in the office is promoting an atmosphere of family with all of our patients and building a practice model that results in better preventative medicine and lower cost for all.
Megan Beckmann CVNP-BC (Nurse Practitioner)
With an unquestioned commitment for caring, Megan has dedicated her career to delivering compassionate health care. Megan began her medical career in 1994 and has transitioned from a nursing assistant to a nurse, to a specialized cardiac nurse, and then to an independent nurse practitioner. Her Texas wit and humor help relax even the most nervous and anxious person. Megan is certified in Critical Care Nursing, and Cardiac Medicine and Surgery nursing. She provides an atmosphere of caring treatment that she and her family would want to receive. Outside of work, Megan is pursuing her doctorate degree. She also enjoys being with family, golfing (a long lost love), expressing herself in quilting and sewing projects, and loving her dog, Bella.
Paula Howard ANP-BC (Nurse Practitioner)
Paula received her Master of Nursing degree as an Adult Nurse Practitioner from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 1991, but she has been in the medical field since 1977. She has always had a passion for pain management and geriatrics, and had worked in oncology/hematology, family practice and women’s health. Paula is board certified, and she has worked as an instructor at Front Range Community College, and as a licensed practical nurse instructor for San Luis Valley Area Vocational School.
Dr. V. Raja Chandrasekaran (Physician)
Dr. Chandra has been practicing for 36 years. His experience includes Chief of Staff at Carbon County (Wyoming) Memorial Hospital and Medical Director of Kindred Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. He enjoys spending all of his time either with his grandkids or studying and learning new aspects of medicine and keeping up with evolving techniques. He is excited to be a part of the Heritage Family Medicine team and to work with the Fort Collins community.
Dr. Marilu Orozco-Peterson (Medical Director/Physician)
Dr. Peterson graduated from Yale University in May 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biochemistry and Biophysics. She received her medical degree from the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine, in May 1996 and completed her residency at the University of Illinois in family medicine. She opened Heritage Family Medicine in October of 2002, specializing in the complete care of the family. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
